Whether it is designing a fixture that ships K.D. (Knock Down) for reduced freight costs, or extruding something that might have been originally designed to be hand built, we usually find a way to do it better.

An example of this can be illustrated with a solution we designed for a National Chain, World Market, for a complete retrofit for their wine department. They wanted wood textured sign holder channels that would display their messages in two completely different applications.

Another company proposed designs for two different sign holder channels that were injection molded. Their designs looked the same but required two different sets of dies and tooling for the different applications. They would have had to been produced separately. The dies and tooling alone would have run approximately $50,000.00

Grand Central designed a solution that worked for both applications using a single set of dies. We also developed these parts to be extruded. The dies and tooling were $5,000.00.

Our parts were permanently laminated with wood grain that matched the client's fixtures, and fitted with bonded die cut caps on the ends. The units arrived at the stores individually bagged, boxed, with mounting hardware and instructions for implementation.
